The start of the Bio Energy Base

The start of the Bio Energy Base

Big day! Let's get started! The first piles that will twist the foundations of the Bio Energy Base will go into the ground today. The Jan De Nul Group will be coming to North Sea Port Ghent with the heavy equipment, marking the first real construction phase of this innovative project. On the Ghent Coal Terminal site, a green power plant will be built with a capacity of 20MW of electricity or the equivalent power consumption of 40,000 households and 30MW of heat consumed by local industry.

Green energy and local energy production, that is why we do green energy at BEE.
